gakipress was an old site of mine. More sandbox than anything else. There are a few pieces here that I don't mind visiting again.

Gakipress is a publication inspired by Leonard Baskin's The Gehenna Press, and an article by William R. LaFleur: Hungry Ghosts and Hungry People: Somaticity and Rationality in Medieval Japan. As the print, woodcut and lithography, enabled artists to produce quality low cost publications of their work so to does the Internet give artists a means to publish their work economically. As technology progresses these means will only enhance the voice of the artist. It is with this spirit that gakipress is put forward.

The web site is devoted to thoughts on drawing and the presentation of my work serving both as a studio annex and whiteboard for ideas concerning art. Additional content includes The Rowe guide to Color from class notes collected by Donald Rowe.

All of the content on this web site is mine and mine alone with the exception of The Rowe guide to Color. In the spirit of the Open Source community; if you wish to use or keep any of the content you may do so provided that you give credit were credit is due. Well... You know, Golden Mean aside.

Please enjoy the site and if you see any work you like please let me know.
